1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO, are identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a an entirely automated cleaning, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dust bin when it is full.
Both robots are good in removing dirt and dust particles on floors and carpets and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ doesn’t have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things like socks or power cords and it can have difficulty traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including getting rid of any clutter or toys it may encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+’s internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station’s dust bin and then resumes cleaning the area where it began. The i3+ EVO’s battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and takes around three hours to recharge.
2. IRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is a top Rated Robot vacuum model from iRobot’s flagship line, and it comes with the latest features. It’s self-charging, self cleaning vacuum cleaner-navigating, and the most important feature of all — it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or through the app.
In our testing the i7+ performed faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin that removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After connecting to these services, we were able communicate with the i7+ using voice commands such as “Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom.” The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+’s preferences and monitoring its performance.
