WoW Upgrades – The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.
Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item upgrades however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They are purchased by players from item level upgrade (bookmarks4.men) upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current level of the item upgrade as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.
Upgraders for items can be found in many places including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur’s Gate II is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.
In Season 3, the upgrade items system was tweaked a bit, with several new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from an entirely different set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a certain rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The use of these currencies isn’t too complicated, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It’s also essential to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance it’s a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade equipment available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
