Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
Item upgrade, commonly referred to as “upping,” improves an item’s stats. Each upgrade increment increases the stats linearly.
Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain a level gauge for each of the item’s upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales according to their rarity and level.

Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add a glyph to your equipment to add an extra benefit. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer instead of all at once. This is useful for players who suffer many hits from enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes that are placed on weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from various sources, such as mystery boxes or rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. The developers aren’t planning to introduce paid rerolls at this stage in the game’s development. Instead, they’re planning to add a race change potion in the future.
Leveling
