World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item’s level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect while they’re in use. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and can’t be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example ‘Canthan Armor Insignia’,’ changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure how much it will be improved following a reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it’s possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.
In the endgame you’ll find that the Best item upgrader way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as “upping”. Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don’t need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item upgrader kit (http://www.zybls.com site) will be replaced with the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn’t be performed frequently, since it could waste lots of resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin’s Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available equipment–armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrade upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance it will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item’s definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance–whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
